Blinc Mascara

Stop the blog, I'm pretty sure I have found the greatest stuff ever. Beauty editors can continue to espouse the virtues of Maybelline Great Lash, Sephora can announce that DiorShow is once again the top seller, but it simply does not get any more awesome than Blinc Mascara. I live in fear of any dark pigment getting below my eyes and making my dark circles even more pronounced, so the fact that Blinc literally never flakes or smudges makes it a dream come true. I've only ever tried it in the black, but I have recently discovered that it comes in 6 shades and am eager to try them all.

Blinc claims that instead of painting your lashes like a regular mascara, its special formula forms tiny tubes around the lashes. Because they're not a pigment, the tubes don't run or smudge, and they stay put until you gently wash them off with warm water. (It's a little shocking to see it coming off in clumps the first time you wash it off, but also kind of fun.)

Before you run out and buy it, you should be aware that this is not a lengthening or thickening mascara, so if that's what you want out of a mascara, you may not be as infatuated as I am. But if you're looking for something that enhances, defines, and looks as perfect at the end of the night as it did when you first put it on the morning, you need this.

The Beginning

You might not know it by looking at me, but I am obsessed with beauty products. I'm on what I fear may be a never-ending quest to find the greatest stuff out there, but I'm willing to stick with it for as long as it takes -- and as long as Sephora stays open. I've made some pretty amazing discoveries already, and I love to tell people about them -- each one feels like a triumph, my own personal New World. So it felt like time to start a new blog, one where I could share my adventures into new beauty product territory, as well as espouse the virtues of my tried-and-true favorites. I'm also always looking for new recommendations, so keep them coming (or, you know, START them coming) -- cosmetics, skin, nails, hair, body, whatever it is, I want to try it! I am pretty equal opportunity consumer -- I won't refuse to try something just because it's a drugstore brand, but I am willing to fork over a little more for something that really works. So here's to finding, using, and continuing to search for the greatest stuff ever!
